Kid Friendly Activities
Plenty of activies on our Summer and Winter Activities pages are kid friendly, but are you looking for some activities that are more kid centered? Maybe you want to incorporate some education during your trip for your children. Scroll down to see some ideas!
GLACIER NATIONAL PARK
Especially if you come in the Summer, you will likely visit Glacier National Park during your stay! Here is a list of ideas for kid friendly and kid centered activities in the park:
- Junior Ranger Program - earn Junior Ranger Badges.
- Visit the Apgar Nature Center (click here for information).
- Check out a Park Family Backpack from the Apgar or St. Mary Visitor centers (click here for more information).
- Take a Red Bus Tour (info).
- Print out the Tree Key and identifiy trees in the park (Tree Key link).
- Take a hike! Popular hikes for children include: Trail of the Cedars, the Rocky Point Trail, the Oxbow Trail, sections of the John’s Lake Loop, Avalanche Lake, Hidden Lake Nature Trail, Barring Falls, The Swift Current Nature Trail, and Running Eagle Falls at Two Medicine.

GLACIER HIGHLINE
Zipline Galcier National Park
- Glacier Highline has five ziplines located inside their upper and lower ropes courses for you to experience.
Aeriel Adventure Park
- The park is made up of a lower and upper high ropes course. Each level has a variety of obstacles to overcome. You’ll be climbing across hanging log bridges and cargo nets, ziplining through the courses, and swinging on the Tarzan Swing. With the 50 high ropes activities, you will be entertained and challenged all day.
Inflatable Ground Course and Water Course
- Barrel over the top of the inflatable dry course, or spend some time sliding down the Aqua glide waterslide.
Whitefish Mountain
If you take a quick drive up to Whitefish Mountain Resort, you will find gorgeous views as well as fun activities for the whole family!
